Attorney Robert A. Franco
Attorney Franco is licensed in the state of Ohio and admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court, the Federal District Courts of the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the Bankruptcy Courts of the Northern and Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Tax Court. He is also a member of the Richland County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
In addition to his law practice, Attorney Franco is an adjunct professor at North Central State College where he teaches Business Law and Real Estate Law.
Attorney Franco received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and his Juris Doctorate (J.D.), and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Business and Taxation, from Capital University Law School, where he graduated summa cum laude. During the course of his legal education, he received several recognitions for his studies, including:
- The Richard B. Metcalf Scholarship for his outstanding performance in estate planning related coursework.
- The Thatcher Proffitt American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence Award for outstanding performance in Bankruptcy coursework.
- Nine CALI Awards from the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction, awarded to the recipient of the highest grade in each course at the law school.
- Capital University Law School Law Review (2007-2008).
- Order of the Curia.
Attorney Franco has more than 20 years of experience owning and operating a small business and thus understands the need for good business and tax planning. From business entity formation through dissolution, solid legal advice can help reduce undesirable tax and litigation expenses.
His business background has been in the real estate and title insurance industry. For over two decades, Attorney Franco has operated a title and abstracting business. During that time, he founded a national Web site catering to the needs of the title insurance industry. He was also a charter-member of the first national association representing title abstractors, the National Association of Land Title Examiners and Abstractors (NALTEA), where he served on the board of directors and, later, as the association's vice president.
Attorney Franco is also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Title Agents where he serves on the associations' Litigation Committee.
